PEG holds a range of events during the year, at two-monthly intervals,
to create networking opportunities for its members as well as
to keep them informed and abreast of trends. Guest speakers are an
important component of our annual programme, as are training sessions.
We welcome questions and suggestions about events, which can be
directed to Isabelle Delvare at
idelvare@yahoo.co.uk (Gauteng) or Kristina Davidson
at kristina@netactive.co.za (Cape Town).
Three PEG members will reflect on the process of having gone freelance. They will discuss their trials and tribulations, and their moments of triumph. Tea and cake will be served.
Gerald de Villiers, author of the very useful style guide, Walking on Eggshells: Aspects of English Usage spoke about the process of writing this book, concentrating on the issue of language change and 'either/or usages'. This was followed by the opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
